Hitachi Data Systems Completa l’Acquisizione di Shoden Data Systems

L’Acquisizione Guiderà l’Espansione della Società nel Mercato Africano in forte crescita

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) ha annunciato il completamento dell’acquisizione di Shoden, uno dei principali fornitori di soluzioni data center del continente sub sahariano, con il quale HDS ha in essere un rapporto di partnership da ormai 11 anni.

Casa madre a Johannesburg, negli anni, Shoden ha aperto sedi in Gran Bretagna, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda e Tanzania, creando una valida base di clienti, già acquisiti e potenziali, a cui offrire soluzioni altamente innovative, in grado di migliorare l’efficienza e ridurre i costi aziendali.

Shoden continuerà a essere focalizzata a progettare, sviluppare e supportare prodotti e tecnologie che semplificano e ottimizzano gli ambienti data center di aziende eterogenee che operano nella regione: banche, compagnie di telecomunicazione e società di distribuzione. Inoltre, Shoden sostiene il Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), un’iniziativa economica del Governo sud africano per favorire l’uguaglianza, stimolare l’economia e creare nuovi posti di lavoro, che HDS si è già impegnata a portare avanti. (NYSE: HIT / TSE: 6501), today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Shoden Data Systems, a leading provider of data center technology solutions in South Africa and across sub-Saharan Africa. Shoden market leadership in South Africa, its strong customer base and industry expertise meet key criteria of the Hitachi Data Systems expansion strategy throughout the fast-growing African market. As part of Hitachi Data Systems, Shoden will continue to support and expand the customer relationships and partnerships that have helped it achieve success in the region.

The acquisition of Shoden also plays an important role in the global expansion of the Hitachi, Ltd. Social Innovation Business, which fuses information technologies – including those from Hitachi Data Systems – with innovative solutions to improve social 2 infrastructure. Hitachi, Ltd. has identified South Africa as one of the key focus areas for its Social Innovation Business.
