The BTO Research Center’s mission is to transform ICT scientific research into applied and manager-wise “ICT Executive Business Science”.
To achieve this goal, BTO addresses issues in the field of ICT Management, delivering Research and Development (R & D) projects to support business and organizational innovation, through ICT adoption and use, within companies and central/local public administrations.
Activities at BTO Research Center support the “Business and Technology Outlook Research program”, a program based on strong collaboration among Universities, Scientific Research and Enterprises, aiming to evolve the concept of “ICT” towards “Business Technology” (BT) supporting organization.
This Research Program studies and supports innovation and use of new technologies within enterprises, thus generating system-level benefits: 1) contributes to bridge the gap among Universities, Research and Enterprises; 2) gives researchers the possibility to collect data; 3) facilitates collaborations between Italian and foreign scholars.
BTO Research Center involves and supports a network of researchers from various Italian and International institutions. Their interests are multidisciplinary and multisectorial, all regarding the Business Value of ICT and Information Systems.
Activities are put in form (mainly) of Research Reports/Briefings: manager-wise and ready-to-use outputs for business decision-makers to address their strategic / organizational / technological needs and challenges.
